Q: Can I add a turbo to my NA MKIII Supra?

A1: yes and no. While it is possible to add a turbo to your NA MKIII, it can't be done without a HUGE ammount of work. Most of the parts just bolt on, but an oil feed and reuturn line must be added for the turbo other major additons must be made. There are also a few differnces between the NA engine block and the turbo engine block: #1-the NA engine has cast aluminum pistons, not forged like the turbo (forged are stronger). #2-the NA has a higher compression ratio, making it difficult to run high boost without the danger of detonation. If you are really set on doing the NA->turbo conversion, check out Dean Marcum's page. He has has great success with his turboed NA Supra. It is not an easy process....
